Day1DFW Event Provides Family Fun on New Year’s Day

Vogel Partners with Main Event and Reliant to Strike Out Family Homelessness in DFW

(Dallas, Dec. 13, 2021) – Dallas-based Vogel, which provides childcare and therapeutic services for children, is once again partnering with Main Event to provide families with a fun way to kick off the New Year’s Day event while raising funds to fight child and family homelessness. The 7th annual Day 1 DFW (formerly known as Day 1 Dallas) Presented by Reliant New Year’s Day 2022 is an all-inclusive experience where families can enjoy unlimited bowling, billiards, laser tag, gravity ropes, golf, arcade games, and more.

This New Year’s Day, Day 1 DFW is expanding to all seven DFW Main Event locations, which include Frisco, Grapevine, Lewisville, Plano, Grand Prairie, Fort Worth North, and Fort Worth South. The fun kicks off January 1, 2022 at 9 a.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. the next day. Day 1 DFW activities will also include free drive-in firework shows at Toyota Stadium in Frisco and Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Complete event details can be found at www.day1dfw.com.

Early Bird Day 1 DFW All-Access Tickets are available now until December 26. Participants will get two Day 1 DFW tickets for $35, in honor of Vogel’s upcoming 35th anniversary. Regular tickets are priced at $20 each and may be purchased only online until December 31. All tickets include bowling shoes and a $10 Fun Card for use around the Main Event facility.

Each Main Event location will also offer additional family entertainment ranging from Science Safari and the Frisco School of Rock at the Frisco location, to Wildlife on the Move at the Grand Prairie location, and Star Wars characters at the Grapevine and Fort Worth North locations. A complete listing of additional entertainment is available on the Vogel website.

Proceeds from Day 1 DFW go toward the fight against family homelessness in the DFW area. In addition, by becoming a Friend of Day 1 DFW and making a direct donation, the public can give children in need the opportunity to attend Day 1 DFW this year for free.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Main Event to provide our community with a fun experience while supporting the issue of family homelessness,” Vogel’s President and CEO Karen Hughes said. “Each night, approximately 4,500 children in Dallas go to sleep without a home of their own. These children are the most vulnerable members of our community, and Vogel is devoted to helping them cope with the physical, emotional, and mental trauma they are experiencing so that they might succeed in school and in life.”

“Main Event is dedicated to the communities we serve,” said Robert Jenkins, VP Sales & Strategic Initiatives of Main Event. “We are honored to have the opportunity to not only offer safe and affordable family fun New Year’s Day but to raise awareness and donations to help those who need it the most.”

“As presenting sponsor of Day 1 DFW this year, Reliant is honored to help Vogel serve even more children in need,” said Andrea Russell, Vice President of Reliant. “Vogel makes such a profound positive impact on the lives of children and families across DFW, and we encourage the community to come out and support this great cause.”
