This coming year we will celebrate the organization’s 35^th year of serving young, homeless children and their families.

Vogel has grown from its humble beginnings of serving 15 children in 1987, to serving more than 17,000 children to date. Through it all, we have given each child what homelessness had taken from them: a new chance at success in life.

• Families are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, and account for almost 40-50% of the nation’s homeless.
• Dallas has the highest homeless population in Texas. A large percentage of those are families.
• More than 4,500 children in Dallas go to sleep each night without a roof over their heads.

The COVID-19 pandemic shed light on this hidden crisis. It revealed the severity of family homelessness in North Texas.
