Classroom Buddies

Volunteers are welcome any time Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm to read to children, interact with conversation and join in playtime, rock babies, help with art projects, and participate in outside play.

Story Time

Volunteers read from a co-curricular book selection, with the option of further performing the material via theatrics, costumes, puppets, etc.  Sponsored by the Auxiliary.

Mothers Offering Mothers Support (MOMS)

By matching mothers in the community with mothers from Vogel Alcove programs, MOMS will provide practical support to clients as they transition out of temporary housing. Sponsored by the Auxiliary.

Holiday Happenings

Volunteers may host parties for children on special occasions such as Winter Holidays, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, etc. During winter holidays, volunteers can help prepare gift packages for children from toys and clothing that have been donated.

Short Term Projects

Work with the children, sort and organize donations, provide clerical support, weekend projects for groups, and special projects for families and children.

Birthday Club

The Vogel Alcove holds a party for each child. Individuals or volunteer groups would adopt a classroom for the calendar year to facilitate the parties for the children in that class. Coordinating these parties will include supplies, refreshment, and gifts for the Birthday Boy or Girl. Sponsored by the Auxiliary.
