You can help children and their families recover from the trauma of homelessness.

Dallas has the 6th largest GDP of any American city and more than 20 Fortune 500 company headquarters. Yet, approximately 4,500 children in Dallas will go to sleep tonight without a home.

It's time to rethink traditional views on homelessness in Dallas.

Families are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, and 88% of those families are led by single mothers with multiple children under age five. Homelessness robs parents of the ability to give children the safety and security they need to grow. Without intervention, it can cause life-long physical, emotional, and mental trauma in children. You can help.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help young children and their families prevent & overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty.

It is our vision at Vogel to make sure that every child in our community has a home, a self-sufficient family, and a foundation for success in school and life. Our programming is culturally competent, holistic, and family-centered. A two-generation approach provides developmental interventions for children while helping parents establish a stable home environment.

We strive to Rewire Brains, Repair Hearts, and Restore Families.

Our Impact

Since our inception in 1987, Vogel has served over 17,000 children. What began with just 15 children in a small alcove has grown into the comprehensive program offered today.

Our agency’s highly-skilled teachers, social workers, counselors, and therapists help children cope with the trauma of homelessness in Dallas and give parents the support they need to improve their families’ lives.
